Southern Alberta Mediation Arbitration (SAMA) is a division of HDP Law providing private dispute resolution services for family law matters throughout Alberta.

SAMA was established in response to structural changes in Alberta’s family justice system, including the implementation of the Family Focused Protocol and its emphasis on early resolution, proportionality, disclosure, and the meaningful use of alternative dispute resolution.

Our mandate is to provide counsel with credible, court-informed dispute resolution options that reduce delay, promote resolution, and offer predictable, proportionate processes outside of court.

SAMA’s professionals bring extensive experience in family law, mediation, arbitration, and adjudicative decision making. Our services are designed to complement, not replace, the Court process and to support counsel in advancing files efficiently towards resolution or final determination.
